Then life changed everything. My mom was diagnosed with cancer, and my family made the only choice that mattered, we focused on being there for her. When she passed and the dust settled, I found myself buried under more than $78,000 in debt, now getting the same kind of calls I used to make for a living.
But I knew something most people don't. Using what I'd learned from the inside, I discovered how to settle that debt for pennies on the dollar and cleared it myself. And in 2000, I walked away from the dark side of the collection industry and debt for good.
